{"id":22764,"date":"2010-12-02T04:03:02","date_gmt":"2010-12-02T03:03:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pasteris.it\/blog\/?p=22764"},"modified":"2010-12-04T12:15:49","modified_gmt":"2010-12-04T11:15:49","slug":"amazon-ha-sfrattato-il-sito-di-wikileaks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pasteris.it\/blog\/2010\/12\/02\/amazon-ha-sfrattato-il-sito-di-wikileaks\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon ha sfrattato il sito di Wikileaks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2010\/12\/01\/amazon\/\">Via Techcrunch<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wikileaks.org\/\">WikiLeaks<\/a> was briefly down this morning not only because of <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/WikiLeaks-website-pummeled-by-apf-2762807500.html?x=0&amp;.v=1\">ongoing DDoS attacks<\/a>, but because it was actually taken off Amazon Web Services by Amazon and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/40455720\">moved back to a Swedish provider,<\/a> according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkingpointsmemo.com\/live\/wikileaks_wire\/wikileaks_wire.html#112\">a statement<\/a> from Senator Joe Lieberman:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis  morning Amazon informed my staff that it has ceased to host the  Wikileaks website. I wish that Amazon had taken this action earlier  based on Wikileaks\u2019 previous publication of classified material. The  company\u2019s decision to cut off Wikileaks now is the right decision and  should set the standard for other companies Wikileaks is using to  distribute its illegally seized material. I call on any other company or  organization that is hosting Wikileaks to immediately terminate its  relationship with them. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><!--more--><\/em><em>Wikileaks\u2019 illegal, outrageous, and reckless acts have  compromised our national security and put lives at risk around the  world. No responsible company \u2013 whether American or foreign \u2013 should  assist Wikileaks in its efforts to disseminate these stolen materials. I  will be asking Amazon about the extent of its relationship with  Wikileaks and what it and other web service providers will do in the  future to ensure that their services are not used to distribute stolen,  classified information.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>WikiLeaks has been in the news every single day since it released  251,287 U.S. diplomatic cables to major media organizations on Sunday.  Yesterday founder Julian Assange was put on <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2010\/11\/30\/wikileaks-julian-assange\/\">Interpol\u2019s Wanted list<\/a> for non-WikiLeaks related charges.<\/p>\n<p>According to Michael Van Poppel, the Department Homeland Security (what aren\u2019t they involved with these days?) also <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#%21\/mpoppel\/status\/10048994373799936\">reported<\/a> the takedown.
