Web 2.0 Expo Europe was widely known as an outstanding event for the European tech community with a host of excellent speakers, but like many companies O\u2019Reilly and TechWeb are feeling the sting of the declining economy and are being forced to make difficult decisions. Obviously, this is bad news for European entrepreneurs and startups.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although Web 2.0 Expo Europe was well received by the European web community, with the economy the way it is, it’s unfortunately not possible for us to plan a conference for 2009. We are hoping to hold Web 2.0 Expo Europe in the future as the economy rebounds, and welcome your suggestions.<\/p>\n
